We are a DJ collective without a fixed address rooted in the sounds of Latin America, Africa, Brazil, and the rest of the world's tropical corners. As representatives of the record distibutor and brand, DE LA PLAYA, vinyl is at the heart of what we do, but we're not bound by format—our DJs move seamlessly between genres to create sets that are dynamic, immersive, and responsive to the room. The result is a sound that feels deeply curated without ever feeling rigid: worldly, rhythmic, adventurous, and above all, fun. With appearances at Los Angeles landmarks including Ace Hotel, Resident, Soho House, and Broken Shaker at Freehand Los Angeles, DE LA PLAYA brings a distinctive musical identity and an infectious sense of discovery to every space we enter.

With more than 15 years of experience in both digital and vinyl, Seb has accrued a vast catalogue of music including cumbia, samba, and international house. His style of mixing these genres and others with seamless transitions and employment of “turntablism” further defines his unique offering to dance floors across continents. He was a frequent DJ at Ace Hotel in DTLA and also the founder of Swim Skool, Long Beach’s first weekly pool party residency which hit capacity of 200 party goers every Sunday at the Renaissance Hotel. Seb continues to be a regular in local cultural hotspots such as Zebulon and Goldline and in CDMX in places like Departamento, Tonal, and Jardin Paraiso.

Barreto es DJ especializado en vinilos, selector e investigador. Originario de México, su selección musical es amplia eliminando las fronteras que existen entre el jazz, el house, la música brasileña, afrocubana, el funk, el boogie, la salsa y la música disco. Ha elaborado sesiones musicales con distinguidos chefs y artistas, así mismo realiza investigaciones de acervos sonoros. Ha compartido las tornamesas junto a Rich Medina, Arthur Baker, Coco María, Toribio, entre otros, y ha abierto conciertos de grupos legendarios como Azymuth, Antonio Sánchez Band, Christian Scott (Chief Adjuah) y Go Go Penguin. Conduce el programa de radio Ciudades Sonoras por Radio Nopal y es embajador de la línea Luxury de JBL. Actualmente se presenta en diferentes lugares de la Ciudad de México, Miami, Nueva York, Los Ángeles, entre otras.
